I found this site that is developed by 'Lesley' (last name not given), but kudos to Lesley. This site has some of the best app reviews I have read. There is a star rating that evaluates Quality, Education, Entertainment, Value, and Child Friendly. You can search by grade level up to 5th grade and then Middle and High school.

I signed up for nearpod yesterday and I can't believe I have never used this before! If any of you use nearpod in your class will you please send me a message and share what you have developed? Thanks! So nearpod has to be one of the coolest interactive, enriched multimedia tools for an iPad I have seen. You create interactive presentations or class sessions and share the content through an iPad or computer in real-time. You can conduct assessments, activities, share websites, and collect data all through your presentation. Check it out at: http://www.nearpod.com/ I stumbled upon this really neat website today. It contains great resources for those of you who have iPads in your classroom. Look to the links on the 'iPad in the Classroom' page. http://www.interactioneducation.com/ipadsineducation.html
Here is a great resource page for teachers http://www.educatorstechnology.com/: it includes posters, iPad resources, teacher guides, YouTube resources, and other teacher tools.
This simple apps search database is a sponsored apps list provided by UEN. You can search by subject, grade, core, and device compatibility. The folks at UEN are always looking for suggestions so if you have your favorite app make sure you click the 'Suggest an App' link at the top of the page!http://www.uen.org/apps4edu/ |
